About Us 
California Concepts Painting is based in Cameron Park, CA and is owned & operated by Larry Gameson. Over the years, Larry's company has earned an outstanding reputation for quality work and top notch customer service. Larry started his career 35 years ago working in a custom car shop, learning his skills from legendary custom painter, Bob Kovaks. Bob was responsible for the the fabrication & custom paint work on many famous cars: the original Batmobile, cars that appeared in numerous Elvis movies, and vehicles that appeared on the hit seventies show, "The Munsters." While learning the custom paint trade, Larry also worked for his father, who was a well known custom home builder. Larry was essentially born and raised in the construction industry and learned many important skills during these years - skills that continue to play an important role in his own business today. In 1984, he was invited to work for a technical coatings company known as Universal Coatings. There he learned to apply a special insulation known as polyurethane expandable foam, along with many other special protective coatings, while working his way to being one of the top technical coatings experts in the country. During this time he traveled all over the United States and worked on projects such as 85 thousand gallon tanks for Gallo Winery. Larry also worked on huge industrial plants as well as space shuttle projects in Cape Canaveral Florida, applying coatings to shuttle components, motors, assembly buildings, hydrogen tanks, and roofing on the buildings that housed the shuttles themselves. During these years, Larry gained a vast knowledge of chemistry, equipment maintenance, safety, and organizational skills. Due to the many dangers involved in his profession, such as working and rapelling from great heights, and also the physical dangers of highly caustic materials, Larry made the decision to focus his efforts back to the construction and painting profession. He concentrated his efforts on the residential and commercial end of painting. This is how California Concepts Painting came about! Since forming California Concepts Painting, Larry has handled many challenging projects, such as the Los Gatos Tomato Processing Plant - a 100 acre processing Industry. He was also the premier painting company in the Woodward Lakes Custom Homes, which is a 500 home development in the Fresno area. After moving to the Sacramento area 25 years ago, California Concepts Painting has been responsible for hundreds of happy customers. The people at California Concepts Painting are experts in all areas of painting, including interiors, exteriors, residential homes, commercial businesses, custom cabinet finishes, sheet rock repair and texturing, and designer flats and enamels. We also specialize in interior and exterior faux finishes and concrete / rock sealing for wet looks. We can make custom handmade shutters - painted or stained. Basically, if you can imagine it, we can make it happen. We also have a network of professional contractors in virtually all trades. If it's something we can't do, we'd be happy to recommend them to you for any projects you have in mind.  Utilizing a small but highly skilled crew of journeymen personnel, California Concepts Painting consistently delivers the cleanest, friendliest, and the most efficient painting service available in Northern California. Furthermore, Larry himself is there working the job for his customers with a personalized service, which is very rare these days.
